ReStore Organization Committee Meeting-May 2007 • In attendance- Denyse Fordham, Laura Hall, Nancy Hollister, Tanya Judd Pucella, Judie Taylor, and Effie Townsend • Weekly article/column focusing on economic development issues • One week should be devoted to ReStore meeting recap • Denise Fordham will work on finding contributors o Nancy Hollister will help lay out what the columns would be o A nostalgic approach-discuss what used to be here to increase interest in historic preservation What we wish we had In order to do this we need to keep some of the old buildings o We need to share through the column where we are going Why is Main Street relevant? • The group took a quick look at the Main Street PowerPoint presentation o Can form the basis of our presentations to the community o We need to personalize it with pictures of Marietta College An opportunity to promote buy in-asking people to share their photos with us • Future meetings-First Wednesday of the month at Townsquare Fabric o Discuss current budget o Discuss progress on newspaper column o Setting up a volunteer program to assist with events
